Updates

A lot has been going on in the Williams household! Miss Addisyn is now 22 months - so close to being 2! How sad is it that we no longer will say she's this many months old, it'll just be years?! She is such a character lately too. From the minute her eyes open, she's a jumping, running, talking, energetic toddler. Addisyn now knows all her colors and shapes and is working on drinking from a big girl cup. After her few days of boycotting anything to do with Little Man, she seems to be back to her old self. We talk about the baby all the time and she actually was excited to go to the doctors with me today. With all the baby gear sitting around, Addisyn has actually done a little regressing. She's been crawling a ton and is enjoying trying out some of little man's things.

Friday we went downtown to Ice Fest and froze! Addisyn was not impressed, so we didn't stay too long. She did learn a new phrase while we were there - cold outside! She says is probably 100+ times a day!! Addisyn also got her haircut for the second time. It looks so nice now that its all even again!

Then Saturday my mom and sisters had a baby shower for me. We got tons of wonderful presents, and now have a closet full of clothes for Little Man! Unfortunately the only picture I have of the day is of my yummy cake!!!

I took Addisyn skating for the second time this week. She's doing so good! Brad has been letting her skate in the basement while he squeezes in a work-out, and with all her practice, she'll be a pro in no time! Here are a few pics of Addisyn with her friends Alaina and Haylee.

And finally, updates on me and Little Man. My appointment last week was somewhat discouraging. When they checked me, I was completely closed. Such a shocker to me since I was 3 cm at this point with Addisyn! Little Man's head is down and low, and I didn't gain any weight for a second week in a row.
Today, I've finally dilated to 1 1/2 cm! Yippee!!! Just when I thought I was done gaining weight, I popped on another 3 lbs, bringing me to 27 total. We'll blame that on all the cake left over from Saturday! I've been getting contractions daily, some more intense then others. I'm hoping things will continue to progress and Little Man will make his debut soon. Now to come up with a name...
Here are some pics from 36 and 37 weeks with Little Man and I only have a 36 1/2 week pic with Addisyn to compare. Enjoy!!

Let the Weekly Appointments Begin....

You know the end is near when you're at the doctors every week! Yesterday I had my 35 week check-up with Dr Glass and my first check for dilation. Nothing going on down there yet, but little man is in position. I finally had an appointment without weight gain - yippee!!! Hopefully next week we'll see some progress and can get this show on the road.
Miss Addisyn is now boycotting little man's room. Not really sure what that's about, but hopefully it doesn't last! I installed the carseat today and she was not happy about that either. Not sure if she was mad she couldn't sit in it and play with the buckles, or if she just didn't want it in her car. She ended up crying for the first 5 minutes of our trip to the store because of it! Hopefully she'll get used to the changes and be ready when little man arrives.
We've finally been able to get outside some the past few days, and boy is she loving it. This child can run so fast!! Here are a few pics of her enjoying the weather.

Pics of Addisyn's and Little Man's Rooms

I'm finally getting around to sharing pictures of Addisyn's new room and little man's room! We still have a little decorating to do in the nursery and are awaiting a few more pieces from the set to complete the room. Now that the room is close to being done, I feel almost ready for him to come! Brad and I are both very pleased with how the rooms look - hopefully the little ones love them too!

And a pic of one of my favorite times in the evening - Brad reading Addisyn her bedtime stories.

34 Week Appointment

Yesterday I had a check-up with Dr Rosado. Once again, nothing overly exciting to report! Little man's heartrate was in the 130's, he is head down, and I've gained 4 more lbs. Insane right??!! Next week begins my weekly appointments and they'll start checking for progress. Dr Rosado made her prediction and is guessing he comes 2/20 and is 7lbs 14oz. I can't say I have a ton of faith in her guessing - she thought Addisyn would be just over 7 lbs - only 1 1/2 lbs off!
The nursery is painted and is finally coming together. Other than a few decorations, its pretty much done. We've been working hard the last few weeks to prep Addisyn for whats about to happen. She got a book from Santa about being a big sister and Brad's been reading it to her often. We visit little man's room often and talk about him, so hopefully she won't be completely shocked when the time comes.
And for all of you who think I'm so much smaller this time, here is a new belly pic along with a comparison from Addisyn's pregnancy. I still say you're wrong!
Then

And now

And we can't end a post without an update on Miss Addisyn. Unfortunately today she's under the weather. Her temp is up and the nose is leaking! Hopefully she'll shake this cold quickly. Here are a few pics of her over the past week.

32 Week Appointment

Another two weeks...another doctor's appointment! Not a whole lot to report - which is good! I'm up 2 more pounds (20 total) and little man's heartrate was in the 140's. I'm guessing my nights of good sleep are quickly coming to an end. The past three nights I've been up at least 4-5 times. It's just so hard to move with such a large belly! I'm definitely a little freaked out today by there being so few weeks left and so much to do. Let's hope nesting kicks in early!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas this year with Addisyn was so much fun! We spent the morning opening her gifts from Santa, then my family came over for the day. Addisyn loved opening her presents, and had a blast hanging out with her cousins. She has way more toys then she could ever need, and has quickly designated a few select ones as favorites! Brad and I exchanged presents, but my surprise present arrived the following afternoon. As I pulled into the driveway and opened the garage, this is what I found

We've been talking about new vehicles and test driving many different ones, but I was totally not expecting for Brad to just stick one in the garage for me! What a wonderful hubby!!!! Here are a few more pics from our Christmas celebration.

Breakfast with Santa

As usual, our wonderful mom's group had a perfect event for the time of the year, thanks to Julie! The kids all had a great time playing together, and only a few were actually scared of the man in red. The fun for the adults came when it was time to leave...cars + snow covered lane = disaster! After some shoveling and a little hands on pushing didn't work, a game of bumper cars finally did the trick!
