32 Week Appointment

Another two weeks...another doctor's appointment! Not a whole lot to report - which is good! I'm up 2 more pounds (20 total) and little man's heartrate was in the 140's. I'm guessing my nights of good sleep are quickly coming to an end. The past three nights I've been up at least 4-5 times. It's just so hard to move with such a large belly! I'm definitely a little freaked out today by there being so few weeks left and so much to do. Let's hope nesting kicks in early!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas this year with Addisyn was so much fun! We spent the morning opening her gifts from Santa, then my family came over for the day. Addisyn loved opening her presents, and had a blast hanging out with her cousins. She has way more toys then she could ever need, and has quickly designated a few select ones as favorites! Brad and I exchanged presents, but my surprise present arrived the following afternoon. As I pulled into the driveway and opened the garage, this is what I found

We've been talking about new vehicles and test driving many different ones, but I was totally not expecting for Brad to just stick one in the garage for me! What a wonderful hubby!!!! Here are a few more pics from our Christmas celebration.

Breakfast with Santa

As usual, our wonderful mom's group had a perfect event for the time of the year, thanks to Julie! The kids all had a great time playing together, and only a few were actually scared of the man in red. The fun for the adults came when it was time to leave...cars + snow covered lane = disaster! After some shoveling and a little hands on pushing didn't work, a game of bumper cars finally did the trick!

A Winter Wonderland

Finally - a huge snow storm!! Brad and I were so excited to take Addisyn in the snow, and she had such a wonderful time. We made a quick trip to Walmart Friday night just to buy her a sled and she loved it! If it weren't for her little cheeks being cold, we would of stayed out all day! Brad's parents and aunt were here for the weekend to celebrate Christmas and really enjoyed spending time with Addisyn. Fortunately, they were able to make the trip back home today with no troubles. Christmas week is just starting and already it looks like the toy store has puked in our house!! What are we going to do with all these toys??!!

Tis the Season...

for holiday parties, cookie baking, and craziness! We are officially in the swing of Christmas at our household. We kicked off the month with putting our tree up and the Watkins extended family Christmas. Addisyn really enjoyed decorating the tree. Last week proved to be super busy - we had three holiday parties! The first being with my dearest friends from high school, then our mom's club party, and Friday we finished off by hosting Brad's office party.

We spent Saturday evening at Hershey with our friends the Williamson's, and are now getting ready for Christmas with Brad's family. They will be arriving tomorrow, and like a little kid, I can't wait to see what they've brought!!! Addisyn and I have been busy baking and had a cookie swap this morning with our mom's group - I'm sure I'll be tipping the scales once I'm done eating all the delicious yummies we brought home!

And for little man (who still is nameless), we had a check-up this morning and all looks well. We're up another 2 lbs and his heart was beating away in the 150's. He's been such an active fellow lately that from the time my eyes open in the morning, he's on the go! Here are some pics over the past few weeks and a 30 week belly pic. Enjoy!

28 Week Check-up

Yesterday I had a routine check and my glucose tolerance test. Little man's heart rate was in the 140's and I'm measuring right on track. I managed to have another month of a huge weight gain - 6 1/2 lbs! So we're up to 15 1/2, which is 1/2 a pound less than I was with Addisyn at this point. I can definitely tell we've had a growth spurt - my belly is beginning to get in the way of bending and tying my shoes! And carrying Addisyn is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Thankfully I passed my one hour glucose test, so I don't have to go through the horrible three hour test this time. Once again, though, I'm back on my iron pills. My next appointment will be in 2 weeks. So lets see do a close up comparison of the bellies at 28 weeks!
This photo was taken yesterday:

And this was at 28 weeks with Addisyn:

Is it just me or was my belly a lot cuter last time??!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hope your weekend is filled with lots of yummy food and good company. Addisyn was so tired from eating such good food, that she fell asleep at the table!

Addisyn is 20 months old!

It's been forever since I've posted - so we've got some updating to do! Miss Addisyn is now 20 months old. She's such a character lately. I guess after being told, "no touch" so many times, she now feels the need to remind Brad and I of that! Makes me laugh everytime. She moved into her new room last weekend and went through a small adjustment phase (meaning we had to gate her in her room again!). I think (hope) we are over that again. Addisyn continues to talk up a storm and is turning into a little mommy herself. Her babies are a must have and toys that she does not share well! She feeds them, diapers them, and rocks them - so cute!! I can't wait to see how she'll react when we actually have a real baby here - all the time! Addisyn is also remembering and saying her friends names and gets excited when she knows she is going to see them.
Brad and I are just getting started on little man's room. We took the border down, patched up the holes from previous pictures, and are now ready to prime it. Hopefully over the next 2 weeks we will find time to get that done and paint the room. We still haven't come up with a name, but I'm thinking Brad may eventually just let me have my pick.
Thanksgiving should be busy as usual. Dinner is here with my family tomorrow, then Friday we are headed to West Middlesex for the weekend with Brad's parents. Addisyn and I will be starting a new class on Thursday mornings next week - Mommy and me. I'm so thankful that I'm able to have time with her during the week to do such fun activities! Here's a few pics over the past couple weeks. Happy Thanksgiving!!

24 week check-up and belly comparison!

Another month has gone by, and this pregnancy is really starting to move quickly! Crazy to think that I only have 1 more monthly appointment, then I'm on to every 2 weeks. We saw Dr. Glass today (the doctor who delivered Addisyn and who will hopefully deliver little man) and all looks well. I had an impressive weight gain - thank-you halloween candy - and put on 5 lbs!!! Fortunately, my total is only at 9, and I am now at the same weight I was with Addisyn at this point. Weird huh? Little man's heart was beating away in the 140's and I'm measuring right on track. It's insane how much more active he is than what Addisyn was. Hopefully that's not a sign of how he'll be when he's born!!

Addisyn's new room is coming along nicely, and her furniture should be in within the next few days. Once we're able to move her into her new room, we can officially start on little man's nursery. We've agreed on a vintage sports theme for his room, but are clueless on a name. Any suggestions??
The first pic is from this week, and the second from Addisyn's pregnancy.

Happy Halloween!!

This year was technically Addisyn's 2nd halloween, but her first time truely celebrating it. We started the day with trick or treating downtown with Addisyn's nanny, cousins, and friends. Then our evening was filled with knocking door to door and hoping for more candy for me to eat!! We were able to trick or treat with many of our friends, and all the little ones were just so cute in their costumes. Surprisingly, Addisyn quickly figured out what to do in order to get a treat - anything for candy, right?! Here's our little stinker...

19 month update and Pumpkin Patch

Our little girl is quickly growing before our eyes! It's crazy to think that not that long ago, she was still growing inside of me, and now she's this energetic toddler. Addisyn has picked up on a word this month that I was hoping would remain out of her vocabulary for a while longer - NO! And boy have I heard enough of it the past few days. I guess I didn't realize how many times a day it comes out of my mouth until I heard it come out of hers! There is no denying that this little girl has a strong personality and is way to spunky for her size!! Maybe I've met my match??!! Addisyn is also continuing to explore and amaze us daily with what she can do. She's talking up a storm and is working hard on counting to 10. Night time has been going really good for us - naps, however, are a different story the last few days! Maybe since the weather has been nice she doesn't want to miss it? I'm really hoping that's the case....
We were able to visit Reynold's farm the other day with our mom's group to pick pumpkins. Addisyn really seemed to enjoy the day! She picked a beautiful pumpkin and likes to check on it all the time! After the hayride, we spent a long time playing on the enormous slide and walking through the maze. All the kids had a great time!

Where's the moon?

Friends!
