24 week check-up and belly comparison!

Another month has gone by, and this pregnancy is really starting to move quickly! Crazy to think that I only have 1 more monthly appointment, then I'm on to every 2 weeks. We saw Dr. Glass today (the doctor who delivered Addisyn and who will hopefully deliver little man) and all looks well. I had an impressive weight gain - thank-you halloween candy - and put on 5 lbs!!! Fortunately, my total is only at 9, and I am now at the same weight I was with Addisyn at this point. Weird huh? Little man's heart was beating away in the 140's and I'm measuring right on track. It's insane how much more active he is than what Addisyn was. Hopefully that's not a sign of how he'll be when he's born!!

Addisyn's new room is coming along nicely, and her furniture should be in within the next few days. Once we're able to move her into her new room, we can officially start on little man's nursery. We've agreed on a vintage sports theme for his room, but are clueless on a name. Any suggestions??
The first pic is from this week, and the second from Addisyn's pregnancy.

Happy Halloween!!

This year was technically Addisyn's 2nd halloween, but her first time truely celebrating it. We started the day with trick or treating downtown with Addisyn's nanny, cousins, and friends. Then our evening was filled with knocking door to door and hoping for more candy for me to eat!! We were able to trick or treat with many of our friends, and all the little ones were just so cute in their costumes. Surprisingly, Addisyn quickly figured out what to do in order to get a treat - anything for candy, right?! Here's our little stinker...

19 month update and Pumpkin Patch

Our little girl is quickly growing before our eyes! It's crazy to think that not that long ago, she was still growing inside of me, and now she's this energetic toddler. Addisyn has picked up on a word this month that I was hoping would remain out of her vocabulary for a while longer - NO! And boy have I heard enough of it the past few days. I guess I didn't realize how many times a day it comes out of my mouth until I heard it come out of hers! There is no denying that this little girl has a strong personality and is way to spunky for her size!! Maybe I've met my match??!! Addisyn is also continuing to explore and amaze us daily with what she can do. She's talking up a storm and is working hard on counting to 10. Night time has been going really good for us - naps, however, are a different story the last few days! Maybe since the weather has been nice she doesn't want to miss it? I'm really hoping that's the case....
We were able to visit Reynold's farm the other day with our mom's group to pick pumpkins. Addisyn really seemed to enjoy the day! She picked a beautiful pumpkin and likes to check on it all the time! After the hayride, we spent a long time playing on the enormous slide and walking through the maze. All the kids had a great time!

Where's the moon?

Lets compare bellies again...

It is so interesting to me to see how I look this pregnancy compared with Addisyn's pregnancy. I love taking pictures of every different stage, and find it amazing how our bodies change during this time. So here is how I looked at 20 weeks pregnant with Addisyn, and now!

Surprisingly, I'm still about 3 lbs less right now than what I was at this stage with Addisyn. Doesn't look that way though!!

And for fear of jinxing a good thing, I've been waiting to give an update on our nighttime transition to the toddler bed. I'm hoping we are on to something now - 3 out of the last 4 nights, Addisyn has gone down easy and slept all night. YIPPEE!! The funny part is that we lay her down in bed and as soon as we close her door, we can hear her crawling out to sleep on the floor. She has yet to sleep in her bed! Apparently the floor is more comfortable than her mattress!

20 week appointment and nighttime update

I had my check-up yesterday with Dr Esumuede yesterday and baby boy Williams is doing good! I gained 3 lbs (4 total) and his heartbeat was in the 140's. My next appointment won't be till the first week of November.
On to Addisyn and bedtime - things haven't gone as smoothly as I would of liked. I guess you can't expect every transition to be flawless! We've had a very rough few days/nights, but we can now say she is going to sleep in her room for nap and bedtime by herself again, but is still waking throughout the night and coming to our room. So tonight we decided to gate her in her room. I can only imagine the screaming I will hear when she realizes she's stuck there! For some reason she prefers sleeping on the floor of her room - hey, whatever makes her happy! Isn't is crazy though how last week I had a child who went to sleep by herself without crying, and stayed asleep till 8 in the morning, and now I have a child who cries when you mention night-night, and won't sleep through the night? All because of a rail missing off the front of her bed??!!
Addisyn must have sensed my frustration I've had over the past few days, because she was a total angel today. Not one tantrum, no screaming, and other than a minute of crying, she's gone right to sleep for nap and bedtime. Thank goodness for today or I probably would of had a major breakdown!! So now I have just a glimmer of hope that we'll be ok when this baby boy arrives!!!

Big Girl???

So after being woken up at 4:30 in the morning by a few seconds of crying and a load thump, followed by Addisyn greeting me as I opened our bedroom door, Brad and I realized it was time to get Addisyn out of her crib. I was hoping to put this transition off till we got her new bed, but obviously her safety is priority! We converted her crib over to a toddler bed, and she's been in it for 15 minutes now without getting out!! I really hope the rest of the night goes this smooth...

Addisyn's 18 mos check-up and tour of the Firehouse

We've had a very busy day today! We started off at the pediatrician for Addisyn's check-up. She weighed in at 29 lbs, 4 oz and was 34 1/2 inches tall. Both measurements put her in the 97th%. When is this child going to slow down??!! She got three shots today, and thankfully is done until she's 5. Addisyn blew away the average expectations of an 18 month old and impressed the doctor. Way to go baby girl!!
After her appointment, we went on a tour of the firehouse with our Mom's group. The kids had so much fun! They were allowed to crawl all around inside the trucks and were given a tour of the entire building.
Our afternoon hasn't been as much fun - normally Addisyn doesn't react to immunizations till the following day, but this time it kicked in right after lunch. After a lot of fussing and a dose of Tylenol, she's finally resting. Let's hope the evening goes a little smoother!
