We're having a...........

BOY!!!!!!!!!! And we are thrilled! Baby Boy Williams weighed in around 9 oz, measured around 18 1/2 weeks, and his heart rate was in the 140's. He was very cooperative with a lot of the scan, but did not want to show his face at all! Here are a few shots from the scan.
His foot:

His rib cage and arm:

His leg and foot:

A side profile shot with his mouth open:

And this one you have to look close - its a shot of his face with a hand directly over his eye. You can make out the full lips (just like Addisyn's were!) and nose:

A month of firsts...Addisyn is 18 mos!

Another month has gone by and we've officially entered fall. Addisyn has had quite the month! She had her first day of school (at nanny's house) where she worked on the color red and letter "a"; took her first bubble bath; sat on the big girl potty for the first time; participated in her first hunt - apples and lollipops; and finally got to eat a lollipop for the first time! Addisyn continues to learn words daily. One of her new ones this month is yeah. Any question you ask, the answer is yeah! She is also turning into a little entertainer - she loves to act silly to make you laugh. Some of her other new skills include jumping and spinning in circles. Addisyn and I started aqua tots again last week and this time she is loving it! She participates and even allows the instructor to take her around the pool. What an improvement from the spring! Brad and I are trying to enjoy these last few months of alone time with her before life gets crazy (or crazier!).

Last weekend I took Addisyn to a fall farm festival with my mom, brother, and nieces. All the kids had a good time. Addisyn was a little afraid of touching some of the animals - wouldn't you be if the were 3 times your size? She also got to go on a hay ride and train ride. I spent the whole time running after the trains just to make sure she didn't try to crawl out - they didn't have any seatbelts!

As for me, Monday is finally our ultrasound. I have a feeling this little one will be just like Addisyn and we'll be left guessing and hoping for another ultrasound to find out the gender. I really hope this isn't the case. Enjoy these pics and I'll be sure to post on Monday....

Mommy's Little Helper

Last week Addisyn and I had a mommy/daughter day. After her 18 mos pictures, we went out for a fabulous lunch at Olive Garden. Our afternoon was spent napping, then we baked a cake later that evening. Addisyn did so good at pouring in the ingredients and stirring it all. Let's hope she's a better cook than I am!! Addisyn even helped me empty the dishwasher the next day. I wonder what else I can get her to do - mopping maybe?! Here are a few pics of her from the past week. And if you follow this link, http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/viewalbum.aspx?a=625671 you can see some of our favorite pics from her 18 mos photo session. The password is Addisyn. Enjoy!

16 week check-up

I had my appointment with Dr Esemuede and all is going well. The babies heartbeat was in the 140's and I was able to schedule our anatomy ultrasound for Sept 28th!!! No such luck for not gaining any weight yet - I managed to put on my first pound (of many to come!)!
So just to keep the comparison going, at this point of my pregnancy with Addisyn, I had gained 3 pounds. At 12 weeks with both pregnancy's, the heartbeats have been in the 160's, and again at 16 weeks with both pregnancy's, the heartbeats have been in the 140's. So any guesses as to what we're having this time?? Only 18 days left to guess!

Let's compare bellies...

Unfortunately, my 16 week appointment got bumped till tomorrow. Apparently too many girls were in labor - you would think they could have waited till after my appointment!! Just joking! So for fun, lets compare my belly this time to last.
Here I am at 16 weeks pregnant - the first pic with Addisyn, and the 2nd is today.

The baby is moving!!!

I've been waiting patiently now for the past few weeks for this day to arrive, and I can finally feel the baby moving! I was lying in bed last night and felt the tiniest flutters - I can't wait till they turn into powerful kicks.
Today we took Addisyn to Caledonia to play in the creek and at the playground. She had so much fun! This child has absolutely no fear of water, and by the end was completely soaked. Thankfully I was prepared with dry clothes!

The Cornmaze

Today we set out to tackle what I thought was an easy cornmaze along with our Mom's Club friends. Little did we all know that this thing was gigantic! The course started out with me attempting to follow the map, leading us through the letters spelling the name, "Windy Knoll" and into an ice cream cone. This is where my leading skills quickly faded! After realizing I had no clue where we were according to the map, we decided just to free go it and see what happened. We wandered through the corn, chasing kiddos as they weaved in and out of the stalk for 1 1/2 hours till we finally gave up! Fortunately, we were able to find an emergency exit sign and made our way out of the corn. Who knew a maze could be so difficult?! Addisyn was such a trooper, she walked almost the entire time! Our reward for our adventure was some wonderful ice cream. What a treat! When the morning was over and Addisyn and I were headed home, I looked in my rearview mirror to find her sound asleep! All that walking took its toll on her - she slept straight through lunch for 3 1/2 hours solid! If I am ever brave enough to tackle a maze with a 17 month old again, I think I'll carry spray paint to mark our path!
