Playing in her swimming pool

It was such a hot day today that we decided to get Addisyn's pool out that Nanny and Pappy got her for Easter. She loved it!!

Addisyn's 1st haircut!!!

We finally broke down and trimmed Addisyn's hair! I only allowed them to cut the really long pieces on her sides and back - so its barely even noticable. She did so well and sat still for the girl!

Addisyn is 13 mos old!!

Well, we've quickly moved out of the "baby" stage and are parents of a toddler! Addisyn is a such a busy child - most of her day is spent running! She is picking up new words almost daily - she's now up to about 12 words! It's amazing how much she understands too. We're looking forward to a fun summer with her!

A Day at the Zoo

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend the beautiful day at the DC zoo yesterday. Addisyn's 1st trip to the zoo was in September, and boy does a few months make a big difference. She loved seeing the animals and pointed at them calling them ee-ee (kitty)! Addisyn also got to share her 1st ice cream cone!!

It's been a while...

I haven't given an update since Addisyn's check-up, so I'll fill you in on the last 2 weeks. Addisyn's party was the 28th, and couldn't have gone better. She picked at her cake for quite a while, and seemed to enjoy herself. I guess everyone enjoys buying dresses for little girls because she has a ton now!
We were in Philly for most of last week for a medical conference for Brad, and some R & R for me and Addisyn. The weather really wasn't the greatest, so we spent a good bit of time at the pool and in the hotel. Obviously we still managed to squeeze in some shopping with Kristen during the crazy wind!! After a rough first night, Addisyn quickly adjusted to her temporary home!
Today was our last class of aqua tots, but we are enrolled for the next session, so we'll keep going! Addisyn is much more comfortable with the pool and really seems to be having fun. My plan is to continue this class until she is able to start swimming lessons on her own. Check below for some updated pics!
