It's been a while...

I haven't given an update since Addisyn's check-up, so I'll fill you in on the last 2 weeks. Addisyn's party was the 28th, and couldn't have gone better. She picked at her cake for quite a while, and seemed to enjoy herself. I guess everyone enjoys buying dresses for little girls because she has a ton now!
We were in Philly for most of last week for a medical conference for Brad, and some R & R for me and Addisyn. The weather really wasn't the greatest, so we spent a good bit of time at the pool and in the hotel. Obviously we still managed to squeeze in some shopping with Kristen during the crazy wind!! After a rough first night, Addisyn quickly adjusted to her temporary home!
Today was our last class of aqua tots, but we are enrolled for the next session, so we'll keep going! Addisyn is much more comfortable with the pool and really seems to be having fun. My plan is to continue this class until she is able to start swimming lessons on her own. Check below for some updated pics!

1 year check-up

Addisyn had her doctor's appointment and is growing faster than a weed! She's up to 24 lbs 10 oz and is 31 1/2 inches!!!! So she's in the 95th and 97th percentile. We opted to hold off on immunizations till next week to ensure we don't have a crank for the big party tomorrow!

Our baby is 1 today!

It's official, we are now the parents of a toddler. This day brings back so many different emotions; from the anticipation of waiting for her to arrive, to the pain of laboring, to the tears of joy when she finally arrived, and the tremendous amount of love we have in our hearts for her. One word can sum up this past year for us, blessed. Addisyn has made our lives better and has made us better people. She made us parents! So we're taking the time today to remember just how much she has changed us and how rich our lives now are. As a family we've grown this past year, and I'm sure with Addisyn leading the way, we'll continue to grow. Happy birthday baby girl!!!

Tooth Count

We've gone from 1 tiny tooth on bottom to 4 coming through on top, and 1 more on bottom! Besides chewing, Addisyn doesn't seem to be bothered. Lets hope it stays that way!!

Aqua Tots

Well, we've had 3 classes of swimming, and finally Addisyn is enjoying them! The first class I think she was just overwhelmed, and we will blame the second on no morning nap. This past week she really seemed to enjoy it, so hopefully that will continue. Through the class we were able to meet some new friends and have even joined a local mom's group. We had our first outing with them last week at the skating rink. No, we weren't on skates! They closed the rink down to skating and opened it for little ones to run around and play with push toys, cars, hula hoops, and huge balls. Addisyn really seemed to like it. We're looking forward to our next swim class and mom's group outing!
